Tomomi received her Bachelor, Master and Doctorate degrees in Engineering from the University of Tokyo.

Tomomi’s background is in the area of artificial intelligence, especially in the simulation of multi-agent systems. Her particular research interests lie in the analysis and design of organisations which are comprised of various decision-makers, taking environmental uncertainty, structural complexity and bounded rationality into account.

Tomomi is a Senior Research Fellow of Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, a Research Fellow of JSPS (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science), Visiting Research Fellow of University of Bath, and Assistant Processor of RACE (Research into Artifacts, Center for Engineering), the University of Tokyo.
